The Position

This position involves developing and executing the pricing and contracting strategy for a key product category at Novo Nordisk. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, and healthcare policy to achieve market access objectives. The role includes responsibility for both existing and upcoming products within specific therapeutic areas.

Relationships

Reporting to the Senior Director of Value Communication and Contracting Strategy, this role involves frequent interaction with internal management, senior managed markets customer representatives, and various team representatives across different departments. Collaboration with global colleagues and external stakeholders is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute list price strategy for existing products
  • Create pricing and contracting strategies for new product launches within therapeutic area
  • Collaborate on optimization of contracting strategy and roadmap development
  • Monitor US list price and contracting environment for pharmaceutical products
  • Develop strategies to increase market share growth in the long term
  • Work on key payer engagement tools and programs to build relationships
  • Analyze impact on pricing decisions and profitability
  • Maintain strong communication with internal and external partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in pricing, contracting, or managed markets strategy
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of US payer environment and market dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams without direct line management responsibility
