Key Responsibilities

Assists the Director of Nursing (Resident Services Director) in managing nursing services. Together with the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Services Coordinator oversees, organizes, and coordinates the activities of nursing professionals and support staff in delivering resident care. Communicates policies and regulations to all nursing staff and ensures adherence. Evaluates and assesses nursing and related services to guarantee the quality of resident care. The Nursing Services Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, is responsible for overseeing the healthcare service needs of residents, including the medication delivery system and the coordination of training for the Resident Care Services Department. The Nursing Services Coordinator actively contributes to a team-oriented approach to quality resident care by addressing and assisting with various physical, emotional, and social needs, enabling residents to maintain their highest level of independence.

Qualifications/Experience/Certification

Must hold a Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey, with at least one year of experience in assisted living or home care settings. A genuine passion for working with the elderly is preferred. Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to foster positive relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and other staff members. Must be in good physical and emotional health and free from communicable diseases.

Maplewood Senior Living conducts thorough pre-employment screenings, including background checks, drug tests, and reference evaluations.

In compliance with Department of Public Health regulations, all candidates must provide valid proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (including the first and second doses, as well as a booster) prior to starting work, unless an approved exemption is granted. Failure to obtain full vaccination and booster within the specified timeframe, without an approved exemption, will result in termination.
