Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler/Forklift Driver for a lighting manufacturing company located in Northbrook, IL. The material Handler/Forklift Driver will be responsible for processing materials to support production by performing various duties such as receiving, stocking, loading/unloading, and shipping materials and supplies. This position requires operating a Sit-down Forklift.

Highlights:

  • Payrate $18.50/hr.
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30PM/ Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • Temp-to-Perm

Responsibilities:

  • Supports production by pulling and delivering all materials necessary to complete orders
  • Supports receiving department by verifying invoices and supplies
  • Verifies and maintains product count
  • Prepares inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts
  • Performs weigh counts for materials and stores them as necessary
  • Obtains, moves, sorts and packages products and materials
  • Operates forklift daily for unloading finished goods off racks and placing them in inventory and or placing material in other related manufacturing areas
  • Performs other related work as directed by supervision

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sit-down Forklift minimum of 1 year experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format
  • Ability to reason and address problems
  • Ability to lift 30-40lbs
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods at a time
