We welcome candidates from the Printing Industry who are eager to transition into a Quality Technician role, even if they lack direct experience in Quality Assurance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations team.
- Conduct Quality Assurance checks, including Press Checks, Seaming Checks, and Flexible Packaging Checks at the start of each job.
- Perform random checks to ensure products meet established standards throughout production.
- Familiarize yourself with all production materials and documentation.
- Operate and comprehend all quality testing equipment.
- Create folding standards, flat standards, and sample labels for clients.
- Assist in maintaining customer standards in both the lab and Account Management areas.
- Inform the Quality Manager/Operations of any issues that may hinder sign-off.
- Report any problems or hazards to supervisors.
- Be prepared to work reasonable overtime, including Saturdays, as production demands.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Flexible Packaging and printing is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with technological proficiency.
- Industry certifications such as SQF are advantageous (1 year preferred).
- Proficient in using both metric and standard measuring tools.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Understand the significance of confidentiality.
- Collaborate effectively with management and operations.
- Propose process improvements as per established procedures.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are crucial. Quality Assurance is key to ensuring all finished products meet quality standards.
- Basic understanding of common Quality Systems and problem-solving methodologies.
- Required computer and data entry skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Familiarity with the X-Rite Color Management System is necessary.
- Must be capable of bending, stooping, squatting, grasping, and reaching frequently.
- Ability to perform well under tight deadlines while meeting quality expectations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent quality-driven work habits.
- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.
