POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for establishing and maintaining all Food & Beverage operational and service level standards for both internal and external guests. Oversees the efficient and profitable operation of multiple lines of business and leadership of the Food and Beverage Division Exempt and Hourly Team Members. Ensures positive performance to budget and standards. Drives cross-departmental initiatives and partners with key departments to innovate and drive revenue offerings for Universal Horror Unleashed (UHU).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for strategically leading and overseeing the daily operation of all Food and Beverage departments with a focus on staffing, revenue and margin generation, cost controls, and financial performance. Plans and implements sales initiatives to generate growth while increasing efficiencies.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to achieve maximum results and empower the management team to drive and make decisions. Creates a culture that is supportive and respectful to support a positive environment. Partners with General Manager and Human Resources to manage concerns and issues in a timely manner and to resolution.
  • Drives and executes plans for Food & Beverage that directly affect TSAT, GSAT, and safety standards while utilizing available tools to measure and monitor the guest and Team Member experience. Develops timely and appropriate action plans to achieve or exceed targets. Collaborates with UDX counterparts to ensure operational and development initiatives are effectively executed.
  • Ensures the highest quality food, beverage, service, sanitation, safety, and retail standards are maintained. Ensures strict adherence with all state and local applicable beverage laws through responsible vendor program administration and maintenance. Ensures strict adherence with required food safety programs including but not limited to HACCP and food allergy procedures.
  • Develops and leads vigorous efforts to achieve or exceed budgeted financial goals. Consistently analyzes financial performance and adjusts the operation as necessary, responding reasonably to existing conditions while controlling costs.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of business operations of Food & Beverage industry, technical knowledge in related systems.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving/decision making ability, and multi-tasking ability.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business/Hospitality is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Relevant to Food & Beverage Industry, Food Safety, Responsible Vendor, etc. All required relevant state food and alcohol handling certifications.

EXPERIENCE: 9+ years in Restaurant and Specialty Entertainment, theme park, or hospitality venue management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Will require a flexible schedule including late night/weekend/holiday hours based on business needs. Some domestic travel may be required.
