We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutritional Services Supervisor to join our team at Hired by Matrix, Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the nutritional services department and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Food Service Management: Oversee the preparation and serving of meals for children and their families, including catering and production functions.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with the Director/Principal to establish expectations, plans, and priorities, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Menu Planning and Execution: Adhere to nutritious menus developed by the school's dietician, and ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Maintain high standards of sanitation, productivity, and customer satisfaction, and take a lead role in the purchasing and maintenance of food and materials.
- Inventory Management and Reporting: Manage inventory levels, review invoices, and prepare reports for the Child Care Food Program.
- Customer Service and Relations: Provide outstanding customer service, maintain relationships with parents, staff, and distributors, and ensure that all interactions are respectful and professional.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma required; food service experience with infants and/or children, and a minimum of one year of experience in the field of food service or food preparation in a childcare or healthcare facility.
- Certifications and Licenses: Current Food Safety Handler Certification, and completion of ServSafe Manager's Certification.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to relate positively to young children, previous experience in quantity food preparation, and knowledge of established procedures in relation to safety and sanitation.
