Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Coordinator of Education, Research, and Outreach at the Latino Research Center (LRC). This position will be is responsible for acting as a liaison between the Latino Research Center (LRC or Center) and students, faculty, staff, businesses, and community organizations. The Latino Research Center serves as a nexus between the Latino community and the University to foster research, student achievement, faculty collaboration, advocacy, and outreach in a manner that best meets the educational, intellectual, and cultural needs and goals of the State of Nevada. The Coordinator cultivates relationships with various internal and external entities including members of the Latino Student Advisory Board who support events and programs initiated by the Center and affinity organizations, such as Alianza. The incumbent also coordinates the efforts of student volunteers, interns, and Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants (as applicable) participating in Center events and projects. The coordinator also supports social media needs and press releases related to grants, research, and related activities and acts as a liaison between editors and contributors to coordinate publications, release calls for papers, and to ensure submittals adhere to various journal and association requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and one year of related work experience. Related experience: Latino outreach, event coordination, relationship management, grant development or related field.
