Position Overview

As part of the DRI Research Immersion Internship program, interns will collaborate with a team of committed scientists to acquire practical research experience aimed at addressing significant scientific challenges. Interns should be prepared to embrace new opportunities by acquiring new skills and expanding their knowledge base.


Following an initial training phase, interns will engage closely with mentors and team members on projects centered around science, technology, and entrepreneurship, fostering both curiosity and career development.


Essential Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in one of the NSHE institutions.
  • Genuine interest in a variety of complex scientific subjects.
  • Desire to learn and apply new skills to tackle scientific challenges.
  • Willingness to enhance teamwork and communication abilities.
Compensation

The position offers a compensation rate of $13 per hour.


Work Schedule

To be determined based on the specific project assigned to the intern. Some interns may have opportunities for remote work.


Physical Demands

Projects that involve fieldwork may require extended periods of walking, standing, or lifting up to 50 pounds.


Employment Status

This position is classified as non-exempt.
