We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and testing complex electrical circuits, cables, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and test electrical circuits, cables, and equipment
- Use hand tools and testing equipment to diagnose and repair electrical issues
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
- Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using general and specialized testing equipment
- Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems
- Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
- Read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced team members
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Participate in special projects as required
- Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience
- 3 years of related electrical experience
- Ability to obtain a DBIDS Badge for access to Naval Bases, Naval Facilities, and private shipyards (BAE, NASSCO, etc.)
- US Citizenship
