Printed Circuit Board Technician

WR Systems is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to conduct miniature/micro-miniature soldering in the removal and installation of electronic components on printed circuit boards in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 Standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality miniature/micro-miniature soldering tasks.
- Utilize automated test equipment and rack systems to identify and qualify electronic components.
- Ensure work product meets quality control standards and is designated as Ready for Issue.
- Set up test apparatus and devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and live tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- US Navy Miniature/Micro-Miniature Certified (NEC 1591, 9526, and/or IPC J-STD-001 Certified Module 1-5).
- Five (5)+ years of progressive experience performing work in support of production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
- Two (2)+ years of progressive experience as a technician performing work, which required advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems, a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, 2M repair, and exercising independent judgment in performing tasks.
- One (1)+ year of experience providing technical guidance to lower level technicians performing work in support of installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
- Preferred: Completion of U.S. Navy Electronic Technician or equivalent 'A' school and 'C' school, and Solder Certification level courses: IPC-A-610, and IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600.
- Demonstrate soldering proficiency within the first 30 days of employment.
- Pass a pre-employment third-party background check, which may include verification of employment history, education and/or certifications, criminal history, driving records, and other records or information related to the candidate's suitability for the position.
