In this position...

You will lead the charge for our internal business reporting to shift from lagging to leading and become a management tool our business leaders can use to drive action and change within their teams due to the insights unlocked. You are a hands-on player / coach capable of both directing and consultatively collaborating on the work and deliverables needed with our key partners and teams as well as owning workstreams for delivery yourself.

What you'll do...

  • Own the Ford Integrated Services data and reporting roadmap in partnership for delivery by our internal Global Data Insights and Analytics team, defining it as well as overseeing the delivery inclusive holding business point-of-view on the backlog and prioritization of work cards
  • Partner with GDIA on their overall design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust data platform for reporting (consolidated real-time cloud reporting & BI dashboards) and advanced analytics (ML/AI readiness)
  • Provide thought leadership on Objectives, KPIs, and "5 Whys" metrics with a constant focus on only those that matter at ever step of the ladder to ensure effectiveness and minimize measurement bloat
  • Audit all current reporting, the requirements and data sources
  • Suggest now / near / far ways to rationalize and streamline as well as improve effectiveness and usefulness of reporting with a specific focus on automation where possible and capture of data transformation and logic throughout
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Engage/build partnerships with leadership and stakeholders to understand and prioritize business objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Establish governance and best practices to enhance data accessibility, quality, and integrity.
  • Monitor and report on the portfolio of data initiatives quantifying value to the organization (performance and impact).
  • Provide strategic direction and insights on data utilization to drive business growth and operational efficiency for the near, mid and long term planning.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on economics, data, statistics, or a similar field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in similar roles across the data, business intelligence, and reporting ecosystems
  • Hands-on design and build of data visualization deliverables (including dynamic online dashboards) with packages such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik, with specific experience using QlikSense a plus
  • Good awareness and understanding of AI technologies including LLM and Machine
  • Learnings to help unlock pattern and anomaly detection through exception reporting
  • Influence and persuasion skills capable of moving up and down to win allies and foster trust through relationships, evidence marshalling, and effective communication and storytelling
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a large, matrixed environment
  • A high level of business acumen and a track record of quickly building expertise and credibility within an organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously by continuously identifying top priorities and critical path items and adjusting accordingly
