The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team plays a crucial role in shaping Ford's Digital Business Strategy by crafting strategic roadmaps and innovative technical solutions. Our expertise and industry insights are leveraged across the organization to ensure effective governance and leadership, fostering rapid innovation while managing risks and ensuring a solid technological foundation. We are dedicated to defining and developing strategies and architectures that empower the business to realize its vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership across the GDIA architecture.
- Deliver technology guidance within the GDI&A portfolios.
- Steer the strategic architectural direction for applications and supporting platform services.
- Offer thought leadership on application development, APIs, cloud technologies, and software craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and internal partners in GDI&A, EA, and Enterprise Platform Engineering and Operations (EPEO).
- Deep expertise in modern analytics tools and methodologies, including data engineering and streaming analytics.
- Formulate a comprehensive architecture strategy to facilitate Data Analytics and Insights.
- Provide technical analytic/data solutions for applications.
- Work alongside software development teams on complex projects.
- Utilize Agile and Lean methodologies effectively.
- Ensure application security is prioritized.
- Manage and develop the technical and leadership capabilities of your team.
- Gain exposure to Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI.
- Demonstrate negotiation skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Ford's architectural standards and documentation processes.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to coordinate various services and engage with global business and IT partners.
- Maintain high levels of technical competence and maturity under pressure.
- Communicate effectively with IT and business teams globally, driving consensus across platforms.
- Enable Product Lines to operate efficiently while ensuring customer-centric architecture disciplines are established and integrated into Product Line delivery.

- Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or application developer.
- 2+ years of experience in a software architect role.
- Ability to craft a well-defined architecture strategy for Data Analytics and Insights.
- Experience managing a team of five to ten individuals, fostering their technical and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in providing technical analytic/data solutions for applications.
- Experience collaborating with software development teams on intricate projects.
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
- 2+ years of experience with Data Warehousing platforms like Big Query, Red Shift, or Hadoop.
- Experience with Data Visualization technologies such as QlikSense, Looker, or Power BI.
- Exposure to Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI.
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership capacity.
- Knowledge or experience in building or integrating with a Customer Data Platform.
- Two or more years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist.
- Two or more years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Two or more years of experience with Google Big Query.
- Experience with Master Data Management or Identity Resolution.
- Experience in Customer or Marketing and Sales Analytics within a large consumer products manufacturer or retailer.
