Physical Demands:
Typical office work not requiring special physical demands. Work environment should be ergonomically appropriate.
Major Duties:
Prepares memos, letters, reports, technical papers, and statistical summaries using various software applications, databases, and automated systems.
Selects and applies appropriate style manuals such as American Medical Association manual to prepare internal and external communications.
Uses publishing software to combine, convert, and edit documents.
Effectively communicates, orally and in writing, between agencies and across organizational levels to coordinate research needs and deliver requested information.
Performs functions related to the electronic transmission of healthcare-related data; responsible for protecting sensitive data under provisions of the Privacy act of 1974 and other applicable laws, federal regulations, VA statutes and policies.
