Expectations and Tasks

  • Providing delivery expertise to support pre-project sales activities.
  • Planning of project lifecycle phases and activities.
  • Working with the customer and project team to define high-level requirements in terms of features and User Stories.
  • Managing the customers' expectations whilst safeguarding the delivery team.
  • Working with Business Analysts within the project team who are responsible for managing detailed requirements.
  • Consulting and coaching customers on Agile and implementation best practices.
  • Effectively manage projects as assigned and ensure adherence to the CIS Development Methodology.
  • Keeping the team on track with the Agile process and adapting it as necessary for the given project context.
  • Keeping the team focused on meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Prepare realistic cost budgets for development projects, including detailed, client-ready project plans, identifying milestones, resources, and timelines.
  • Perform in a distributed development environment, managing work packages across global locations.
  • Leading the team towards continuous improvement.
  • Motivating the team and fostering an environment where excellence can be achieved.
  • Managing project risks and dependencies.
  • Managing project resourcing and financials.
  • Tracking and reporting the project status to customer and internal management teams.
  • Coordinating meetings with the customer and partner teams as necessary.
  • Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between all internal and external teams.
  • Maintaining close relationships with customers and colleagues to support a "one-team" mindset.

What you bring

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree highly desirable, preferably in a related discipline .
  • Customer interaction skills.
  • Self-motivated, open minded, resourceful, agile and pragmatic.
  • Ability to proactively resolve problems focusing on teamwork, results, and people.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Business process and ERP application knowledge is a plus.
  • PMI certification is desired but not required.

Work Experience

  • Requires 10+ years' experience as a Project Manager on customer facing projects.
  • Experience managing commercial projects in a services environment.
  • Experience and good knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience of full life cycle projects from initial scoping through to delivery.
  • Experience leading a team.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
