The Strategy & Planning team at AmeriHealth Administrators provides guidance to the CEO and Executive Council on critical enterprise-level strategic initiatives and oversees four key areas: (1) Corporate Strategy, (2) Enterprise Business Plan, (3) Market Insights, and (4) Board Reporting.

The Strategic Planning Manager reports directly to the Director of Strategy & Planning.

A strong candidate will possess experience in several of the following areas:
strategic planning, business planning, financial analysis, and market insights and competitive intelligence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategic insights and advises leadership on project progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Implements directives from Strategy & Planning leadership as assigned.
  • Conducts thorough research and analysis, creating presentations and reports for assigned initiatives and projects, including corporate strategic planning, enterprise growth, market insights, competitive intelligence, capability gap analysis, and M&A evaluations.
  • Assists the Director in managing initiatives and projects, documenting meeting notes, summarizing key action items, developing charters and work plans, tracking progress against objectives, identifying success metrics, and facilitating purposeful meetings with team members and various business leaders.
  • Aids the Director in driving the Enterprise Business Plan (EBP) process to formulate the annual EBP for Board approval, which encompasses multi-year financial and capital planning, annual enterprise objectives, financial improvement targets, departmental budgets, and enterprise portfolio investments.
  • Supports the Director in enhancing corporate and segment performance through improved Board reporting.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in Strategy, preferably within a management consulting firm or corporate development/strategy department.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience in the health care industry.
