  • Prior leadership experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office .
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.

LabCorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our Hospital Services team in Greenville, SC. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: Floats primarily focused on 1st shift (Earliest 8am, latest 7pm). Occasionally may need to cover second shift (earliest 12pm, latest 11pm). Weekend rotation.

Work Location: Floater position covering hospitals located in Anderson, Greenville, and Spartanburg. Based out of Greenville, SC branch.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Act as a floater for the hospital services team as needed for coverage at various hospitals.
  • Assist in the supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Hospital Services department.
  • Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures.
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
  • Encourage process improvements and best practices.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve any production errors as requested by management.
  • Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary.
  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.
  • Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.
