About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals in the maintenance of F-16 aircraft. As an Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance production process, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate with the host squadron to ensure that maintenance schedules and production issues are addressed.
  • Manage the maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with applicable engineering and technical data.
  • Oversee the automated system for inducted aircraft, ensuring that work-orders are created to support part requisition, configuration changes, and electronic equipment log updates.
  • Supervise multiple maintenance disciplines in an integrated workforce environment.
  • Ensure that the workforce follows appropriate technical and DoD instructions.
  • Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced.
  • Work first, second, or third shift as required by customer needs.
  • Deploy to various locations to modify or repair aircraft.
  • Security Clearance Required: Must have an active Secret Security Clearance and be a US Citizen.
  • Military Base Access Required: Must be able to secure Base Access.
  • Passport/Visa Required: Must be capable of keeping a current Passport to support overseas field team assignments.
Requirements
  • Leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • At least 4 years working F-16 aircraft experience with a thorough understanding of Fighter Aircraft Systems and Flight Line Operations.
  • Experience with programs such as Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information Systems, Tool and FOD, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, or Supply Chain Management.
Desired Skills
  • F-35, F-22, F-15, A-10, or F-18 aircraft experience.
  • Understanding of USAF and/or USN maintenance practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with Field Service Representatives and Maintenance Managers.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination at all levels throughout the maintenance structure.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to develop and present formal briefings and presentations.
  • Quick Response Team or Contractor Field Team experience.
  • Ability to develop necessary maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, administration, Microsoft Office Suite, and computer skills.
