Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages HR Team including assignment and monitoring of work, development, communication, reward, and recognition and managing overall performance
  • Partners with business line management in the achievement of business goals, strategy and initiatives
  • Communicates and provides guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure compliance
  • Manages effective relationships and communicates with management at all levels and serves as a coach to Managers and Front-Line Leaders
  • Develops and administers policies and programs covering all areas of Human Resources such as recruitment, wage and salary administration, training, employee relations, benefits and equal employment opportunity (EEO)/affirmative action (AA) programs
  • Ensures employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
  • Promotes a positive work culture by driving team engagement initiatives and employee inclusion and advocacy
  • Manages the employee performance management and compensation process within the business unit(s)
  • Travels to the program's locations as needed
  • Supports new business development requirements to support business goals and objectives
  • Develops, implements and monitors results of the Company's Learning and Development training program and establish goals and objectives for these programs. Deliver training in person or media formats as needed
  • Implements processes for internal communication of HR related information
  • Enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Functions as the primary interface with union officials on labor issues associated with operations of the business sector or contract
  • Interprets and administers the CBA's and works with Labor Relations team and Operations in managing employee issues
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field plus seven years of diverse HR experience with at least three years of HR management experience
  • Excellent communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Strong leadership skills and capable of working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, teach and implement new programs/procedures and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, onboarding and developing employees
  • Experience with supporting a Union represented workforce
  • Requires a small amount of local travel
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain US government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Masters degree in Human Resources or related field
