Job Summary
Family Weekend Student Event Staff play a critical role in shaping the Family Weekend experience at UK for our students and their family members. Event staff facilitate events (i.e., Check-in, A Taste of the Kentucky Doughnut Trail, Bowman's Bash, etc.) for over 5,000 people during UK's Family Weekend, September 20-22, 2024. Event staff may assist with the check-in process, set up and break down events, event attendance, giveaways, phone calls and emails from students and families, placing signage around campus, and more.
Mandatory Family Weekend Event Staff training will take place on Wednesday, September 11 (in-person), 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Make-up trainings will not be available.
Family Weekend Event Staff must be available to work up to 16 hours on Monday, September 16 -
Thursday, September 19 (we can work around your class schedule). Staff must also be available to work Friday, September 20 – Sunday, September 22 (8 hours per day). Additional opportunities for work hours may also be available based on the your schedule.
Expectations
Must commit to attending and participating in virtual and in-person fall trainings (September 11, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.)Must commit to working up to 16 hours for Family Weekend Check-in (September 16-19, We can work around your class schedule.
*This position is also Federal Work-Study eligible, if you qualify.
