Position Overview:

The College of Communication and Information is seeking a motivated and passionate Student Engagement Assistant to support our initiatives aimed at enhancing student success. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in student services and contribute positively to the student community. The assistant will be involved in daily operations and special projects within the career readiness sector. Prior experience in customer service, both face-to-face and via phone, is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and design software (Adobe Suite) is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with meticulous attention to detail.

The Student Engagement Assistant will participate in various communication projects, including:

  • Developing branded materials for professional development.
  • Supporting site visits, career fairs, and events aimed at engaging students and employers.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of workshops and events to foster student involvement and career preparedness.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative assistance such as scheduling, preparing meeting documents, and maintaining records.
  • Collaborating with team members on research and data collection to support ongoing projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisory duties are required.
