Welcome to Fi.
We're a passionate team from Square, Google, Peloton, Uber, and more working to transform the dog-human relationship. Our mission? Develop cutting-edge technology to revolutionize what it means to be a dog parent.
The dog industry remains firmly stuck in the past and we are here to change that. Fi is leveraging our team's talent and expertise to improve the lives of the millions of dogs in the U.S. Real-time location tracking, activity, sleep and behavior monitoring – and that's just the beginning.
The most exciting aspect of our work? Bridging the communication gap between dogs and humans. Imagine a world where everyone knows how their dog feels in real time and how to keep their best friend in good shape. That's the future we're building at Fi.
If you're someone who thrives in innovative, collaborative work environments and feels strongly about helping dogs live longer, better lives, Fi could be the perfect fit. Join us in our pursuit of the "impossible," or as we call it here "let me find a way," to redefine the future of dog ownership together.
Fi is looking for a Field Marketing Manager
As a Field Marketing Manager for Fi, your mission is to champion our brand within local communities, spreading awareness and engagement among dog lovers. You'll have the autonomy to develop and implement creative strategies that resonate with pet owners, leveraging your initiative and local insights to make a meaningful impact.
We're searching for candidates located in Seattle/Portland, Austin, Los Angeles, New York City, or Boston. This role offers two full-time options: a 6-month contract with potential for permanent placement, or a direct full-time role. Both options entail working 40+ hours a week. The decision will depend on factors such as interview performance, experience, local market strategy, and our current organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute field marketing plans tailored to each region's unique pet owner demographics.
- Engage with local dog owners, businesses, and pet organizations to promote Fi and build community relationships. Coordinate and participate in dog-friendly and human-only events, meetups, and sponsorships to connect with target audiences, including organizing hikes and off-leash events.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align strategies and messaging with Fi's brand identity and objectives.
- Craft strategy, assess financial impact, and evaluate outcomes, all while actively engaging in fieldwork to forge partnerships and foster growth opportunities
- Gather and analyze feedback and data from field activities to continually refine and optimize marketing efforts.
- Cultivate partnerships with local pet influencers, shelters, and businesses to expand Fi's reach and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in field marketing, pet industry, or related roles is a bonus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Located in one of the following major metropolitan areas: Seattle/Portland, Denver, Austin, Los Angeles, New York City, or Boston
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently, with flexibility for travel and reliable transportation within the assigned region.
- Local connections within your local community are a plus, but not required.
- Share a genuine love of dogs
