SUMMARY:
Reporting to the P.M. Plant Services shift lead, this position will be responsible for all activities associated with the sanitation of food processing equipment, facility hygiene and master cleaning assignments. Team members are expected to follow GMP's, chemical dilution and mixing procedures, appropriate wear of PPE, follow lockout tag out procedures and pass all required training. Position will require the individual to work most weekends and must be willing to take not-scheduled days at any time throughout the week to support sanitation cleaning schedules. This position is eligible for progression to Plant Services Specialist position after required training has been completed and if employee remains in good standing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This individual will be primarily responsible for sanitation of food processing equipment in accordance with established SSOP's (sanitation standard operating procedures). Cleaning includes end of production and end of week cleaning, equipment changeovers, facility sanitation and master cleaning assignments. Must be able to appropriately mix and use chemicals according to label instructions. Fall protection, aerial lift, confined space and lockout training is mandatory to stay in good standing in the position. Additionally, housekeeping tasks will include general janitorial tasks such as mopping, sweeping, filling soap and paper towel dispensers, operating auto floor scrubbers throughout the facility and other tasks as assigned by the Plant Services Supervisor or Plant Services P.M. Lead.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment in a safe and productive manner

• Clean and store production equipment using higher pressure water hoses, compressed air and cleaning chemicals

• Complete Chemical Safety Training and use chemicals safely per label instruction

• Participate in Plant Safety programs including SBO's, Safety F-Tags and reporting any safety incidents that occur on shift. Must also be willing to be assigned additional safety program responsibilities as needed.

• Flexible job assignments that require individual to stay actively engaged with minimal supervision.

• Train and become authorized in confined space, fall protection and lockout procedures.

• Assist with basic Janitorial tasks on P.M. shift as needed, which may include but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, filling soap dispensers and operating auto floor scrubbers throughout the plant

• Other responsibilities as assigned by Plant Services Supervisor or Plant Services P.M. Lead


EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

• Previous experience working in a food processing facility

• Previous experience in Sanitation is preferred but not required
