Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain a variety of equipment, including machinery and tools, to perform work tasks.
- Preventative Maintenance: Ensure that preventative maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled to prevent equipment downtime.
- Maintenance and Installation: Perform maintenance and installation tasks on equipment, buildings, and systems, using manufacturers' manuals, instructions, and other technical resources.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Address unusual conditions or major maintenance needs as they arise, using advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical areas.
- Team Leadership: Work with crew members to diagnose and solve problems, prepare the team for daily activities, and keep crew organized and on task to meet production schedules.
- Training and Development: Train new employees as needed and provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to environmental and stormwater pollution prevention policies, as well as Metromont's 6S, Lean, and Safety Programs.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent, 5-10 years of general maintenance experience, and advanced reading, writing, and math skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, general, and diesel mechanical skills, familiar with computerized maintenance management systems, and knowledgeable of all equipment and plant systems.
- Soft Skills: Good communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, and effectively communicate with management.
