Main purpose of the job (summary of job, no more than 3 to 5 sentences)

The HR Services Analyst II serves at an advanced level in their function and exhibits a high degree of expertise in their functional area and uses strong critical thinking abilities to process, prevent, investigate, and resolve complex issues related to HR data flow, payroll output, the customer experience, and corresponding HR systems or processes. This position will work in partnership with HR team members in the field and other HR Services resources to improve the effectiveness of processes, service offerings, and accuracy of HR data and payroll transmissions. The HR Services Analyst II will support cross-functional and team initiatives that will help meet the overall business strategy.

Key Accountabilities

List, in order of importance, the major responsibilities of this position and estimate the percentage of time spent on each responsibility (the main function of the job may or may not be the one where the most time is spent). Systems Support Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day support for HR system applications to end-users.Aid in the implementation of system and system policy changes, ensuring compliance updates. This includes tasks such as discovery, configuration, documentation, creation of test scripts, output testing, and other assigned tasks.Contribute to M&A data conversion initiatives by gathering, formatting, testing, and validating data.Participate in the testing, troubleshooting, and configuration of system functionality, modules, and workflow processes.Collaborate with system support partners by initiating tickets and ensuring follow-up to resolve system issues and requests.Supports recurring processes such as open enrollment, salary planning, year-end closeout, and year-begin activities.

Customer Support Responsibilities:

Creates and maintains procedural documentation (including training materials and standard work for end users and system administrators) to ensure consistent use of systems. Communicates changes as neededParticipates in monthly Sonepeople dashboard processing and communication to customersReviews changes in data, offerings and systems to recommend enhancements to monthly Sonepeople dashboardsRegularly reviews data and communicates observations, opportunities, and recommendations to executeCo-leads customer feedback exercises to include gathering of feedback, recaps of findings, and execution of action items from feedbackParticipates in needs analysis as assigned to ensure continuous improvement of resources, processes and systems

Payroll/Data Processing Responsibilities:

Administrate and process payroll for complex, decentralized operating companies Run and analyze payroll processing audit reportsWork independently and lead junior positions on complex tasks, performs a variety of complex functions in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll processingAnalyze wage processing problems and recommend the best practices to implement new solutions.Make recommendations to Manager for the development or enhancement of payroll procedures and documentation.Analytical and technical support for internal and external groups Provide ideas, solutions and tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll processing

Audit Responsibilities:

Develop reports and processes to help prevent and identify payroll errorsPerforms various data integrity audits and takes appropriate actions to resolve findings and propose process or system enhancements to improve output.

Minimum work experience requirements:

2-4 years of experience working within IT, Human Resources or HRISKnowledge of and experience with an HRMS. Workday, Ceridian, and/or Success Factors is required.
Minimum education requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
Other skills/experience desired:

Effective problem-solving skills.Strong administrative and organizational skills with the proven ability to take initiative to complete assignments and responsibilitiesAn understanding of what is going on within Human Resources including experience in employee movement data capture (onboarding, job changes, exiting) and HR record creation, maintenance and retention.Consistent demonstration of good judgment and discretion in matters of confidentiality Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with detail and accuracyAdvanced level in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, if statements, etc.)Experience with translating customer requirements to create reports; previous use of report writing tools and SQL is a plus.Demonstrated experience with leading basic HRIS projects (vendor file creation, data conversions, etc.)Professional written and verbal communication skills.A commitment to providing exceptional service to all customers, internal and external.
