Job Summary:

The sales role consists of all tasks associated with recruiting and selling Seaborn Pile Driving projects, Seaborn Services repair and maintenance services, and One Stop Permit Shop permitting products and services to the target market. This includes customer meetings for lead follow-up, coordinating projects with in-house permitting and engineering, developing contracts, working with the prospective customers to complete the contracts, and all customer communication throughout the life of the project.

This critical role is a member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the CEO.

Our Organization:

Seaborn Pile Driving Company was founded in 1947 and over 77 years has grown to become the largest residential marine contractor on Lake Washington. We construct new and rebuild residential docks and bulkheads. We are a one-stop shop, providing the entire process from permitting, construction, to annual services. Our customers are located predominantly on Lake Washington.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategies
  • Prepare the sales forecast
  • Plan and manage sales funnel to achieve forecast
  • Meets with prospective customers to determine their needs
  • Works with internal permitting and engineering departments to design and propose a project for the customer
  • Customer communication from birth to death
  • Attend bi-weekly Leadership Team meetings as well as the quarterly offsite and annual planning meetings
  • Attend and present at the Advisory Board meetings
  • Interview and comment on prospective company leadership

Skills and Requirements:

  • College or vocational level business administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales is required
  • Marketing experience is a plus but not required
  • Previous marine construction or general construction experience is not required. We will train for this

Work Hours and Benefits:

The role will work weekdays as needed and be available for occasional weekend customer meetings. The candidate will work both in office and in the field.

Seaborn provides a comprehensive benefits package with health and dental plans as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a company 6% match.

The compensation consists of a base salary plus bonus based on company incentives and profit goals.
