Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Patient Account Representative to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our patient financial services department, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, processing billing and collections, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient accounts, including billing, collections, and credit balance resolution
  • Process patient payments and issue payment receipts
  • Communicate with patients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders regarding billing and collections
  • Review and reconcile daily system receivables reports
  • Balance monthly transactions and provide summaries to department supervisor and administration
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 24 months experience in Medical Billing, Medical Collections, and Medical Billing Systems (IDX or other billing system)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
