We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Patient Account Representative to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our patient financial services department, you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, processing billing and collections, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient accounts, including billing, collections, and credit balance resolution
- Process patient payments and issue payment receipts
- Communicate with patients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders regarding billing and collections
- Review and reconcile daily system receivables reports
- Balance monthly transactions and provide summaries to department supervisor and administration
- High School Diploma or GED
- 24 months experience in Medical Billing, Medical Collections, and Medical Billing Systems (IDX or other billing system)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
