Job Summary:

Mercy is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will be responsible for representing Mercy with the highest standard of customer service, compassion, and performing all duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all components of the patients' entrance into any Mercy facility, including scheduling, registration, and benefit verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance, including pre-visit collection.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience and promoting a culture of compassion and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Mercy's policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on industry developments, best practices, and Mercy's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.
  • New hire must attend Clinic Core Front Desk Training through Clinical Education.
