Summary:
The Internal Audit Consumer Banking Team assesses the risk management framework, controls, and governance that support the achievement of business outcomes for Discover Card, Discover Bank, Discover Student Loans, Discover Personal Loans, and Discover Home Loans. The focus of the Direct Banking Team's audits is on operational components of the business and elements of consumer compliance.
Responsibilities:
Completes assigned audits/audit tasks using department tools and pursuant to department guidelines, within established timetables with high quality results. Discusses findings and solutions with client and audit lead.
Develops detailed risk assessments and identifies and assesses controls against best practices.
Continues to develop skill sets by meeting required training and obtaining advanced degrees and/or certification pursuant to department guidelines.
Help design or tailor work programs
Audit major components of business units Autonomously execute testing
Perform risk assessments of business activities, potential exposures, and the materiality of loss Leverage available data and analytical tools during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit engagements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Analytics
Relevant Experience: 2+ years of experience in Applied Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, Computer Science, Data Science, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience within public accounting, financial services or consulting.
Certifications:
Six Sigma, STEM, or Business, Risk, or Audit related certifications CIA, CPA, CRCM, ABA Certifications (Products and/or Compliance), SHRM & PHR

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $65,000.00 to $109, Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
