Job summary: We are seeking a Software Engineer (Associate - Projects) with 5-7 years of experience, proficient in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will contribute to developing high-quality software solutions in a dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery of innovative products that meet our clients' needs while adhering to best practices. Candidate should have Production Support experience in Application Dev/Support with Incident, Problem, Change and Release management experience.

Work Authorization: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education Details: BS or Equivalent

Experience: 5Yrs - 7Yrs

Location: Plano - TX USA, (Remote)

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Implement security and data protection measures.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in software development.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared knowledge.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Adhere to industry best practices and contribute to internal and external coding standards.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Proven experience in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java, and JavaScript is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with jQuery is considered a strong asset.
  • Understanding of the Payer domain is beneficial but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • A commitment to collaborative problem solving and product quality is essential.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment strategies.
  • A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. .

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $44,550K - $74,500K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
