The Mission Ahead

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Typical security related responsibilities may include enforcing and monitoring security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the government and company security policies and procedures related to: physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation and debriefings. May develop and implement security procedures in coordination with management personnel. May conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs. Investigates losses and security violations; may recommend corrective action. Maintains liaison with outside agencies and keeps upper management informed of all security activities. Ensures destruction of classified and company proprietary information in accordance with policies and procedures. Assists in revision of procedures manuals. Work performed in the area of security is performed in accordance to DSS (Defense Security Service), NSA (National Security Agency), and/or other applicable agencies which conduct regular security audits and/or investigations.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You'll Do

As a Security Monitor (Escort), you will:

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense.
  • Registered as a security officer.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
