Position Summary:
We are in search of a Senior Information System Security Officer who possesses a Top-Secret clearance. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our information systems and ensuring compliance with security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Information System Security Officer, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing the daily implementation and monitoring of security configurations and practices for information systems.
2. Acting as a liaison between system owners and security personnel to ensure effective communication and coordination.
3. Developing and maintaining comprehensive security documentation throughout the information system lifecycle.
4. Conducting vulnerability assessments and creating Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to address identified security risks.
5. Managing risks associated with information systems and coordinating corrective actions as necessary.
6. Ensuring that all security controls are functioning effectively to maintain the Authorized to Operate (ATO) status.
7. Uploading security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application for monitoring purposes.

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in a secure environment.
- At least 9 years of professional experience in computer science or a related cybersecurity field.
- Proficiency in security tools such as Tenable Nessus, IBM Guardium, and Network Mapper (NMAP).

Certification Requirements:
Applicants must hold at least one of the following certifications:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Global Information Security Professional (GISP)
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

Educational Background:
A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.

Clearance Requirement:
Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
