Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Golden Seal Enterprises, Inc. as a professional security officer with ACTIVE DoD SECRET clearances. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of client property, personnel, and information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site to identify and report any security breaches or potential threats.
  • Monitor and control access to the client location through the designated admittance process, ensuring that all visitors and personnel are properly cleared and authorized.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, guests, and visitors, ensuring that their needs are met and they feel safe and secure.
  • Monitor and maintain the security and safety systems, including CCTV cameras and access control systems, to ensure that they are functioning properly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
  • Participate in training and professional development to maintain and enhance security skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
  • Must have an active DOD Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services registration in applicable categories.
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience/training preferred.
  • Active individual registration in private security with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services preferred.
  • Current certification in basic First Aid, CPR, and AED preferred.
Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced professional environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, and may be required to work in a variety of weather conditions.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to patrol by foot, walk, observe, talk, type and write reports, hear and respond to emergencies. This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and climb stairs.
