The Mission Ahead

Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Responsible for personnel engaged in the Physical Security function for the organization that includes monitoring the systems associated with the flow of personnel and vehicular traffic, personnel/visitor security clearances, management of loss prevention and detection services, and responsible for security inspections. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You'll Do

As a Security Manager, you will:

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise security officers and guards.
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a security manager or similar position.
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV).
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
