The Quality Systems Engineer is a critical role in our organization, responsible for supporting Dynisco's Quality Management System (QMS), driving improvements, and maintaining compliance throughout the organization. As an ISO 9001 and 17025 accredited organization, Quality has extensive visibility and prominence at Dynisco. The successful candidate will be a strong individual contributor and work closely with Production, Quality, Sales, Customer Service, and Engineering. This job has a focus on production and non-conformances that will initiate improvements, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

The job responsibilities of this position require the employee to be onsite at our Franklin, MA facility. No hybrid or remote option is available.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
  • Reports to the Director of Operations on Quality issues, metrics, and/or trends to support annual Management Reviews and improvement initiatives.
  • Executes assigned NCMRs, CARs, SCARs and Customer Complaints, leveraging help from other functions. Drive root cause analysis to ensure permanent fixes
  • Maintains Quality documentation and makes improvements
  • Administrator of the Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Executes ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 Compliance Activities (Internal and External Audits, Quality/ISO Training)
  • Serves as guide for external third-party audits
  • Conducts internal audits and work cross functionally to resolve any findings through Corrective Actions.
  • Measure, monitor, track, and report Quality System Metrics to ensure systems effectiveness and efficiency; and implement updates/changes as necessary to meet changing business needs.
  • Assists in the improvement of manufacturing processes to reduce nonconforming products.
  • Reviews and approves ISO 17025 calibration certs
  • Completes Customer Quality Questionnaires
  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of Dynisco's Quality Management Systems
  • Manages detailed and organized records of nonconformances, root causes and dispositions
  • Establishes specific testing/inspection procedures based on detailed drawings and technical specifications
  • Answers questions and trains others on Quality processes & procedures
  • Follows safety procedures, rules, regulations, and state, federal and local laws in the performance of job duties
  • Follows all safety and laboratory guidelines, good housekeeping practices and wears provided PPE
  • Promptly reports risks and opportunities for improvement to the appropriate personnel

Educational and Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a field of engineering (electrical, mechanical, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of experience working as a Quality Engineer with systems responsibilities
  • Experience with issuing CAPAs and SCARs
  • Quality systems audit experience (ISO)
  • Manufacturing experience including but not limited to welding, machined parts, sensors, and testing is a plus.
  • ACE Tools (Relentless Root Cause Analysis, Mistake Proofing)
  • US Military Service considered a plus.

Other Qualifications:
  • Must have basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Microsoft Access Database, ERP, and/or Quality Management Software experience a plus.
  • Possesses strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Must have basic math and writing skills, ability to communicate technical information through written form and supporting data.
  • Must have the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of technical information
  • Must have technical problem-solving skills - ability to break down large problems into smaller parts to deliver the end solutions.
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal
