Objective:

The role is designed to deliver technical Quality Assurance expertise to the Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing sectors within an automotive production environment. This position encompasses the management of the Quality Laboratory by formulating procedures, as well as setting up and calibrating measurement instruments. Furthermore, it involves assisting supplier operations during various stages, offering managerial support to quality supervisors across shifts, and engaging with clients to address their inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish documentation and provide training for the manufacturing floor.
  • Gather and present torque data (SPC charts, etc.).
  • Conduct product measurements.
  • Examine product complaints.
  • Assist in product disposition.
  • Analyze Engineering Change Notices for their effects on processes and systems.
  • Implement, sustain, and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Create, review, and revise quality documentation to ensure compliance with IATF 16949.
  • Utilize root cause analysis and other problem-solving methodologies to identify, address, and prevent quality concerns.
  • Spot opportunities for process enhancements and spearhead initiatives to improve product quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure customer-specific requirements related to IATF 16949 are comprehended, executed, and upheld within the QMS.
  • Establish risk management protocols to proactively identify and alleviate potential quality challenges.
  • Deliver training, advice, and guidance on:
  • Implementation of Statistical Process Control.
  • Calibration processes.
  • Supplier management activities (product containment).
  • Guide production supervisors and oversee floor processes and modifications.
  • Carry out special assignments as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with automotive core tools.
  • Experience in the calibration of measurement devices.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Proven understanding and hands-on experience with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or a similar qualification related to quality management and IATF 16949 is advantageous.
  • Proficient in quality management tools and software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
