DRUG TESTING SPECIALIST

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for responding to client requests regarding drug-testing programs and establishing and maintaining control of substance abuse policy records.


• Responds to client requests regarding drug-testing programs, and establishes and maintains control of substance abuse policy records and consent forms systems.


• Counsels clients on substance abuse related employee issues and appropriate testing panels/services.


• Establishes and administers drug-testing programs including obtaining signed client enrollment agreements, implementing the Substance Abuse Policy (SAP) in Insperity systems, verifying and tracking of signed SAPs, identifying and setting up collection sites, scheduling onsite testing appointments and interfacing with Third Party Administrator (TPA), and testing laboratory representatives. Maintains result files.


• Monitors the performance of drug testing collection facilities and laboratories and recommends the use of new facilities/laboratories and discontinued use of current service providers based on performance and/or available services.


• Coordinates the return to work and random drug test scheduling, confirmation, and record keeping for employees referred to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and ensures clients are offered this service in a timely and consistent manner.


• Verifies the client billing for drug testing and ancillary services.


• Assists team members as needed.


• Prepares and updates Standard Operating Procedures documents for review by Senior Drug Testing Specialist(s).


• Prepares substance abuse packages and correspondence.


• Prepares, maintains, and manages substance abuse service files.


• Compiles information necessary to produce the HR Administrative Compliance COE monthly numbers report and submits it in established time frames


• Assists clients in setting up and maintaining drug testing programs that are in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations as well as Insperity HR best practices.


• Assist clients in setting up and maintaining ancillary testing programs (physicals, TB tests, audiograms, lifts tests etc.) that are in compliance with applicable regulations as well as Insperity HR best practices.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES


• Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.


• Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.


• Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.


• Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.


• Two to four years of experience in drug testing administration is required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS


• Knowledge of human resources and legal aspects of employment and hiring.


• Competent in principles, practices, and procedures in drug testing administration.


• Principles, practices, and procedures of general business including modern office methods, practices, procedures, equipment; and clerical methods, techniques, and filing systems. Ability to type from clear, straight copy at 35 wpm, utilize word processing applications, and operate data entry equipment, printers, FAX machines, and copiers.


• Proficient in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic.


• Organizing and efficiently maintaining projects; communicating tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing; following written and oral instructions; working independently from general instructions; and maintaining effective working relations with staff and public.
