Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Providing administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.

Performing the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised which includes establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff, clearly communicating them through the formal employee performance management system, and providing informal feedback and periodically evaluating employee performance.

Submitting reports to Leadership, as appropriate, and advising management on issues and making recommendations for improvement in service.
Resolving informal complaints and grievances. Developing work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary.

Assuring the Social Workers whom they supervise are aware of and adhere to all current directives of VHA, and meet current JCAHO standards, State licensure standards, and VA-OIG expectations.

Conducting ongoing intensive reviews and appraisals to ensure the accomplishment of objectives and adherence to standards set by governing bodies.

Providing technical assistance to monitor activities and program reviews and to develop information analysis. Using sound judgement to interpret trends and patterns; the application of guidelines; and the recommendation of program enhancements.
Responsible for key project activities related to planning, developing and implementing the project component.

Total-Rewards-of-an-Allied-Health-VA-Career-Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay:
Competitive salary and regular salary increases

Paid Time Off:
37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Parental Leave:


After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.


Child Care Subsidy:


After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.
