Job Summary

The Full-Time Hourly Assistant Manager is a key member of the Regal Entertainment team, responsible for the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees. This role requires a strong leader who can uphold and administer all theatre policies, train and develop non-management employees, and ensure the smooth operation of the theatre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Theatre Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the theatre, including the supervision of employees, management of theatre policies, and maintenance of theatre equipment.
  • Employee Development: Train, develop, and coach non-management employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and mitigate risks associated with employee and patron safety, loss prevention, and emergency situations.
  • Financial Management: Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken in during a business day, including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Human Resources: Interview, hire, schedule, coach, counsel, suspend, and terminate employees as needed, in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: At least three months of supervisory experience, or six months of theatre experience with completion of the Cast Certification Program, or a combination of both.
  • Language Ability: Possess good public speaking skills and effectively communicate in both oral and written form with employees, vendors, corporate staff, and others.
  • Math Ability: Perform calculations with speed and accuracy, and identify and correct errors.
  • Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes of problems. Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, and recommend solutions.
  • Computer and Office Skills: Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs, including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Personal Skills: Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise an unspecified number of employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training and coaching employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and disciplining employees as needed.
