POSITION Executive Director - Hearthstone of Beaverton

DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the community through the lens of Hearthstone's mission and values. The mission "To Serve with Love, Respect, and Integrity" applies to our relations with our staff, residents, families, and the community at large. The Executive Director is responsible for the creation and implementation of policies and procedures, cooperation with state and local agencies, diligent fiscal management, departmental oversight, and building and grounds upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies. Ensures all departments are prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies through regular auditing and update of program policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepares and monitors the annual budget and leads day to day operations of the community accordingly.
  • Prepares and maintains a capital expense budget to ensure the building equipment and grounds remain in top condition through capital projects.
  • Prepares operational reports and presents them along with financial reports at monthly meetings.
  • Maintains an environment of safety in the workplace and compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Maintains a nurturing, positive, encouraging environment in which all employees can pursue Hearthstones mission.
  • Provides ongoing support, direction, supervision, and feedback regarding performance to all department managers.
  • Motivates employees through staff appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive employee relations, addresses concern timely and resolves grievances as quickly as reasonably possible.
  • Assist in driving positive census growth through consistent involvement with the community relations department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENT

Position Requirements:

  • Have an active Oregon RCF Administrator license.
  • Maintain license by obtaining needed annual CEU requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age and possess at least two years of Assisted Living management experience that has occurred in the last 5 years in a health or social service-related field or program or possess an accredited bachelor's degree in a health or social service-related field.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent command of both the written and spoken English language.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and keep financial records.
