The club features two renowned championship golf courses with a luxurious clubhouse offering elegant dining and social spaces. The club serves as a central hub for social and recreational activities in the golf-rich Pinehurst area.


The Director of Events & Catering will manage and coordinates all aspects of events and catering services, from planning and budgeting to staff supervision and member relations. In this role, you will ensure that events meet high standards, deliver exceptional service, and enhance the club's reputation.


Director of Events & Catering Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed plans for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties
  • Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and service, ensuring high-quality food and beverage delivery
  • Manage and train event and catering staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Create and manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with club members to understand their needs, tailor events to their preferences, and provide exceptional service
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and materials for events
  • Promote the club’s event and catering services, including creating marketing materials and organizing promotional activities
  • Ensure that all events and catering services meet the club’s high standards of excellence and hospitality
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise before, during, or after events to ensure smooth operations


Director of Events & Catering Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event planning and catering management - preferably in a country club setting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of staff
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets, with strong financial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with members, vendors, and staff
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple events simultaneously
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on member satisfaction and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve issues effectively
  • Ability to design and implement creative and memorable event experiences
  • Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools
