The Country Club of North Carolina is a prestigious establishment with a rich history in the world of golf, known for its exceptional service and facilities.
Position Overview
The Houseman/Housewoman plays a crucial role within the Food and Beverage Team, ensuring that all banquet events are executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
As a Houseman/Housewoman, your duties will include:
- Assisting servers with their setup for banquet events.
- Setting up and managing audio and visual equipment.
- Arranging tables, linens, and chairs according to event specifications.
- Maintaining cleanliness in pre-function areas.
- Replacing soiled linens with fresh ones.
- Occasionally assisting in dining room cleaning.
- Stocking supplies at servers' stations.
- Conducting walkthroughs to ensure proper setup.
- Communicating daily with the Events and Catering Director, Food and Beverage Manager, and other key personnel.
- Cleaning and storing banquet equipment post-events.
- Organizing storage areas for banquet supplies.
- Participating in meetings to discuss event setups and provide input.
- Cleaning and storing child highchairs and booster seats.
- Assisting banquet staff with setup, service, and cleanup as needed.
- Adjusting seating arrangements for member and guest dining.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment
This position may involve:
- Working in wet or humid conditions.

Physical Demands
The role requires:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in the club industry or a similar field is preferred.
