The Field Access Navigator (FAN) is essential in reducing barriers to Hub Support services and enhancing access to products for patients and healthcare providers. As part of an integrated, cross-functional team, the FAN is responsible for educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and their office staff about services. The FAN works strategically with Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) to address issues related to prior authorizations, denials, and appeals, effectively managing even the most challenging patient access situations.

The FAN’s primary focus is to closely collaborate with new HCPs and their office staff to ensure they understand the services offered at the hub and to assist with any access issues that require escalation. This involves direct engagement with office SPOCs. The FAN also plays a key role in resolving HCP challenges as they occur, ensuring effective coordination with site SPOCs. Additionally, the FAN develops and presents customer-focused Hub service offerings to onboard new offices, anticipates potential site challenges, and maintains open communication with FRMs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face, personalized solutions for access issues as the Patient Services subject matter expert, supporting healthcare providers.
  • Manage case escalations to Corporate Account Directors when necessary.
  • Stay updated on and become a subject matter expert in new services offered.
  • Act as a liaison between FRMs and Hub SPOCs, fostering strong relationships and building trust within the Hub.
  • Proactively educate HCP office staff on specific reimbursement programs, policies, procedures, and resources to ensure effective use of Access Programs for products.
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve account-specific and patient access issues by collaborating with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide valuable field insights to aid in the development of Patient Services marketing materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABAC) regulations and other pharmaceutical industry laws and healthcare policies.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare industry trends, recognizing patterns or connections, and communicate potential future challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; RN or clinical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in market access, insurance reimbursement, or reimbursement and billing in large healthcare practices, including expertise in Medicare/Medicaid programs with a focus on specialty drug products preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in reimbursement support and resolution, directly engaging with HCP office staff strongly preferred.
  • Technical experience in navigating complex systems and troubleshooting user errors.
  • Experience in strategic and operational reimbursement, with knowledge of office practice policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Hub services and the Lynk system, with an emphasis on effective communication and solution-oriented approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce results, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply reimbursement knowledge to effectively address and resolve patient access barriers.
  • Experience in other pharmaceutical/biotech industry roles is a plus (e.g., product marketing, managed care, field sales, case management, or large healthcare practice experience).
  • Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of CMS policies and processes, with specific expertise in Part D (Pharmacy Benefit design and coverage policy).
  • Familiarity with Integrated Delivery Networks/Integrated Health Systems.
  • Experience in creating, implementing, and executing effective business plans.
  • Understanding of national reimbursement laws and regulations that impact the FAN role.
