Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team as a Communications and Development Coordinator. This role will primarily support the Development and Communications Departments, providing essential administrative and operational assistance as needed. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of both departments and contributing to the overall success of our organization's mission. They will also assist other departments as needed with general administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:


Development Department Support:

  • Assist in donor relations activities, including donor correspondence, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and database management.
  • Help with fundraising campaigns and events, including logistical support and attendee management.
  • Prepare and process mailings
  • Other duties as assigned


Communications/Pro Bono Department Support:

  • Respond to public inquires through various channels
  • Assist with managing social media accounts and activities through postings, campaigns, promotions, contests, reporting, and tracking
  • Track case posting numbers on Paladin for pro bono enhancement grant
  • Maintain contact lists and databases related to Pro Bono, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Assist in preparation of board materials for quarterly meetings


General Office Support:

  • Provide backup support to other administrative staff and departments as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, nonprofit management, public administration) preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or support role within a nonprofit organization is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
