Inside Sales Specialist

Cochrane Supply is an award-winning, internationally recognized technology company distributing Building Automation and IIoT products. Due to growth, Cochrane Supply is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative for the Toledo, OH area. This position is primarily responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, equipment, and products, as well as answering incoming calls, assisting customers at the counter along with creating quotes and orders. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have warehouse experience, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Answering incoming calls to the branch

• Servicing customer orders & technical needs

• Processing all orders from phone and email

• Keeping track of all orders, lead times & order problems

• Sales support to Area Market Leaders

• Gathering & organizing technical data

• Developing relationships with individual purchasers

• Communicating sales leads to Area Market Leader

• Promoting products and services to customers

• Review packing slips for received material

• Receiving material in accounting & inventory system (Prophet 21)

• Direct and stage material in the branch for customer orders

• Perform cycle counts at regular intervals as directed by the Branch Manager and Purchasing Manager

• Keep BIN locations up to date in Prophet 21


Hours, Salary, and Location:

Full time position, typically 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Salary negotiable

and based on experience. Position will be located in Toledo, OH


Necessary Experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to quickly learn and retain new concepts

• Excellent time and project management skills with strong attention to detail

• High degree of organization, accuracy, and flexibility; exceptional attention to detail

• Team player and collaborative

• Proven ability to be a self-starter with ability to initiate action and follow an effort through to completion

• Familiarity with Windows platforms and Microsoft Office 365

• Reliable Transportation is required
