Role:

The Manager of Project Management will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding the Project Management team within the department. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Program Management and involves managing a team that includes a Client Implementation Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and Project

Coordinator.


This position requires a strong background in Third Party Administration (TPA), healthcare payer, or provider services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, change management, and relationship management, with a proven ability to develop and implement scalable best business practices. Strong leadership abilities, the ability to take charge, identify risks and steps to mitigate them, and the capacity to motivate other leaders and drive teams towards deadlines are essential for this role. A PMP or Six Sigma Lean certification is preferred, along with skills and toolsets developed over time through vast project management experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all project management activities for new client implementations and the expansion of services for existing clients.
  • Oversee multiple projects across internal departments, both technical and operational.
  • Lead the design and execution of implementation project timelines, including go-live and post-go-live support.
  • Ensure the delivery of comprehensive project plans, workflows, and training schedules to guarantee the success of implementation efforts.
  • Develop and drive a standard, measurable, and effective implementation process.
  • Coordinate efforts between customer-facing and internal teams to deliver dependable, accurate, and timely services.
  • Monitor and communicate project successes and risks, ensuring transparency with all stakeholders.
  • Partner with management from other teams to develop creative, compliant, and customer-focused solutions and services.
  • Facilitate effective teamwork, rapport, communication, trust, and respect between internal teams, customers, and their members.
  • Prioritize projects and ensure consistency with corporate strategies.
  • Maintain a company-wide prioritized project roadmap schedule.
  • Work closely with internal departments to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate creative and collaborative problem-solving to address customer needs and maintain engagement with department managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • PMP or Six Sigma Lean certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience, including at least 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Extensive experience in the Third Party Administration (TPA), healthcare payer, or provider services industries.
  • Ability to learn and understand the fundamentals of employer-provided group health, retirement plans, and fringe benefit programs.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, and the ACA.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, capable of handling complex problems, require minimal direction, and able to work within a team setting.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision remotely.
  • Practical experience with communications, culture, and change management.
  • Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights.
  • Ability to effectively handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written/listening).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms is required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as needed.
