Job Summary

This is a senior-level position within the US Army Corps of Engineers, responsible for managing the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of program activities, ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to established goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and assign work to team members, setting priorities and advising on program goals and objectives.
  • Set performance standards and appraise the work of employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Recommend personnel actions, including recruitment, reassignment, promotion, and classification, and make selections for vacant positions.
  • Develop and maintain a responsive financial management program, ensuring availability of resources to meet established milestones and events.
  • Analyze and evaluate program performance, reviewing reports, studies, projects, and information provided by staff members and other agencies.
  • Translate program estimates to objectives and budgets, and review and analyze accomplishment of overall program goals.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience in applying programming and/or budgeting policies, processes, and analysis, or utilizing project management processes to prepare and defend budget submissions, review and coordinate cost estimates, track obligations and expenditures, allocate resources, monitor and evaluate project schedules, or execution of milestones and funding.
  • Experience in analyzing and recommending the utilization of available manpower, funding, materiel, and equipment, and utilizing data content and output options for a variety of administrative or technical program applications.
  • Applicants must have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks and have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
