Job Summary

Our client, located in Nashville, TN, is hiring a Compliance Manager to oversee various compliance-related duties at a specific location. The position requires managing compliance with several housing-related programs and regulations.


Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary point of contact between the organization and the management company overseeing the housing facility

• Ensures adherence to all relevant regulatory and partnership agreements

• Keeps up to date with and shares information on any changes to HUD, LIHTC, and related program regulations

• Oversees the renewal and recertification process for current, prospective, and new residents

• Conducts inspections of the housing facility to ensure compliance with standards

• Participates in audits to verify adherence to program guidelines

• Organizes and leads emergency drills for residents and staff

• Serves as a resource for staff on compliance-related inquiries

• Trains staff on compliance protocols and safety procedures

• Manages client records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

• Supervises a team that includes resident advisors, community engagement coordinators, and employment specialists


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Preferably 5 years of experience with HUD's Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing initiatives

• Familiarity with HUD EIV systems, reasonable accommodation processes, LIHTC income guidelines, rent calculations, and Fair Housing laws

• Ability to establish trust and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

• Experience, whether personal or professional, related to homelessness, addiction, and/or low-income communities

• Awareness of challenges related to homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault

• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
