The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for data queries, analysis and inventory reporting. This Analyst role will be tasked with developing Crystorama’s Demand Planning and Forecasting processes and report development for senior leadership. The Analyst will also support day-to-day Supply Chain activities such as placing and confirming purchase orders and ensuring that adequate inventory levels are always maintained allowing for on-time delivery to our customers. 


Duties and Responsibilities 


  • Ability to multi-task and work within assigned deadlines 
  • Create, summarize and socialize departmental reporting on scheduled and ad-hoc basis 
  • Review processes for automation opportunities and recommend changes 
  • Analyze purchasing and sales order trends to recommend purchasing order quantities 
  • Place and confirm purchase order to suppliers 
  • Create a method for reviewing historic ordering trends to develop forecasting reports and recommendations 
  • Develop and socialize inventory turns metrics 
  • Analyze and query all master product, vendor and customer data for normalization and improvement opportunities 
  • Review existing reports and look for automation opportunities via macros (short-term) and programming (longer-term) 
  • Help to provide custom inventory reports to select customers with a goal of complete automation 
  • Review open orders with vendors on weekly basis and update results in ERP system 
  • Send and follow-up vendor quote requests (RFQs) 
  • Documentation and follow-up of automation and improvement opportunity requests through IT and 3rd party partners with the ability to provide high-level status updates to management 
  • Supports the management, consistency and governance of the Finished Goods and Parts Master Databases 
  • Identify shortages and excess inventory quantities via reporting and analytics, and then make recommendations/implement changes to lead to reductions in these areas 

 


Qualifications 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience is required 
  • 2 years’ experience Purchasing, Demand Planning and/or Forecasting strongly preferred 
  • Experience working within an eCommerce focused company 
  • Experience with imported products 
  • PMP / APICS certification a plus 
  • Strong MS Excel skills 
  • Familiarity with relational databases and running database queries are strongly preferred 
  • Strong communication skills are required 
  • Strong organizational skills are required 
  • Ability to be a creative problem solver is required 
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization is required 
  • Ability to work independently is required 
  • Must be self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Must work well in a collaborative teamwork environment
