Position Summary

We are in search of an Operations Supervisor to support the General Manager in overseeing the efficient operations of our logistics center. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational strategies at our fulfillment center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure inventory precision by supervising daily warehouse operations, conducting cycle counts, and managing deliveries.
  • Investigate inventory variances by utilizing shipping documentation and warehouse management systems.
  • Assist the General Manager in maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and associated equipment.
  • Engage in the recruitment, training, and daily oversight of logistics center personnel, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Provide leadership by setting clear expectations and exemplifying high standards of productivity and work practices.
  • Identify and rectify common shipping issues to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize reports to actively monitor the order fulfillment process, ensuring precise picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
  • Assess individual team member performance through monitoring of units per hour.
  • Coordinate both inbound and outbound transportation logistics.
  • Promote a workplace culture that encourages employee involvement, morale, and engagement.
  • Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness within the warehouse environment.
  • Execute all tasks related to the logistics center's operational functions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years in warehouse or logistics management, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in inventory management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse and logistics operations, with proven ability to manage effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and write in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Capability to safely operate powered material handling equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a talent for building successful internal and external relationships.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including weekends if necessary.
  • Enjoyment of being part of a small team in a busy logistics environment.
