Position Summary

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the General Manager in overseeing the efficient functioning of our logistics center. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual operational strategies at our fulfillment center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure inventory precision by supervising daily warehouse operations, conducting cycle counts, and managing deliveries.
  • Investigate inventory variances using shipping documentation and warehouse management systems.
  • Assist the General Manager in maintaining the physical integrity of the warehouse and associated equipment.
  • Engage in the recruitment, training, and daily oversight of logistics center personnel, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Provide leadership by setting clear expectations and exemplifying high standards of productivity and work practices.
  • Identify and rectify common shipping issues to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize reports to actively monitor the order fulfillment process, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
  • Assess individual team member performance through monitoring of productivity metrics.
  • Coordinate transportation for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Promote a workplace culture that encourages employee engagement, morale, and participation.
  • Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within the warehouse environment.
  • Execute all tasks and responsibilities that impact the logistics center's operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in inventory management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehouse and logistics operations, with proven ability to manage effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and write in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Capability to safely operate powered material handling equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a talent for building successful partnerships.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • A desire to be part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
